On  October 24, H.E. Fan Yong, Chinese Ambassador to Botswana, met with Mr.  Keletsositse Olebile, Chief Executive Officer of Botswana Investment  and Trade Centre (BITC), and exchange views on strengthening bilateral  economic and trade cooperation between China and Botswana.

Ambassador  Fan stressed that China and Botswana have great potential for  cooperation in various fields, including trade and investment. China is  willing to take the implementation of the follow-up actions of the FOCAC  Summit as an opportunity to further the trade and personnel exchanges  between the two countries and deepen cooperation in various fields.

Mr.  Olebile said that BITC would like to further strengthen the information  exchange with Chinese embassy, expand the investment and cooperation  between the two countries in the fields of new energy and minerals and  promote the export of more products from Botswana to China.
