Ambassador Fan Yong attended the Handover Ceremony of China-aided Ramaeba Primary School Project

On  Oct. 27, 2024, H.E. Fan Yong, Chinese Ambassador to Botswana, attended  the Handover Ceremony of China-aided Ramaeba Primary School Project.  H.E. President Masisi, His Honourable Vice President Tsogwane, several  ministers and senior officials from government, and local community,  about 500 people attended.



Ambassador  Fan said that Ramaeba Primary School is the fourth school aided by  China in Botswana, which is one of the series of livelihood projects of  the Chinese government to actively implement the follow-ups of the  FOCAC. It will greatly improve the local schooling conditions. China  stands ready to work with Botswana to actively implement the outcomes of  the 2024 Beijing Summit of the FOCAC and the Global Development  Initiative, establish dialogue partners for the Global Civilization  Initiative, and jointly promote high-quality "the Belt and  Road" cooperation, to jointly advance the construction of modernization.



President  Masisi and Vice President Tsogwane spoke highly of the project and said  that it will help solve the problem of difficult access to schools in  the area, provide a conducive learning environment to students, and  facilitate the early realization of Botswana's Vision 2036. The friendly  bilateral relations between China and Botswana have brought tangible  benefits to the people of the country. The two sides should strengthen  exchanges and cooperation to boost the development of Botswana in  various fields.
