On December 2, 2024, H.E. Fan Yong,  Ambassador of China to Botswana, paid a courtesy call to Hon. Moeti  Mohwasa, Minister for State President to exchange views on  China-Botswana relations.

Ambassador  Fan congratulated Hon. Moeti Mohwasa on his assumption of office and  said that China is willing to work with Botswana to continue to  strengthen practical cooperation in various fields, promote  people-to-people exchanges, and further advance China-Botswana strategic  partnership.

Mohwasa said Botswana  always attaches great importance to friendly relations with China,  stressing that it will continue to abide by the one-China principle.  Botswana admires China’s development achievements and hopes that China  will continue to share its experience with Botswana, jointly carry out  practical cooperation to bring benefits to people’s livelihood  and promote bilateral relations to a new level.
