On February 28, Counselor Cui Yin, wife of the Chinese Ambassador, attended the 2025 Victory Party at Mmopane Primary School. Honorable Ms. Manyeneng, Deputy Speaker of Botswana National Assembly, Ms. Marata, School head of Mmopane Primary School joined the party.

Counselor Cui, on behalf of Ambassador Fan Yong and the Chinese Embassy, congratulated Mmopane Primary School on its excellent results in the 2024 Primary School Leaving Examination. She said that this year is the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Botswana, the Chinese Embassy will continue to strengthen educational cooperation with Botswana so as to promote greater success. She hopes that Botswana children could be young envoys of China-Botswana friendship, and make contributions to building a China-Africa community of shared future.

Honorable Speaker Manyeneng thanked the Chinese government for building Mmopane Primary School and providing valuable assistance for the development of the school. She said that Mmopane Primary School has effectively improved the educational conditions in Mmopane and provided strong support for the development of local children.
