On September 17, Ambassador of China to Botswana Fan Yong accepted a joint interview with Gabs FM and Duma FM to provide a comprehensive introduction to the Global Governance Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping. The interview was broadcast on the latest programs of both radio stations and across their social media platforms.

Ambassador Fan focused on elaborating the context, core concepts, global significance, and future actions of the Global Governance Initiative. He emphasized that the four major initiatives each have their own distinct focus but are mutually reinforcing, injecting stability and certainty into a turbulent world from different perspectives and demonstrating China's sense of responsibility as a major country in international affairs. Ambassador Fan pointed out that advancing the reform of global governance is in the common interests of China and Botswana, and that China is willing to strengthen strategic alignment with all parties, including Botswana, to jointly write a new chapter in building a community with a shared future for humanity.
