On June 18, 2026, Ambassador Fan Yong received a live interview from Gabz FM on the white paper titled “More Just and Equitable Global Governance: China's Principles, Proposals and Actions”, among other topics.

During the interview, Ambassador Fan outlined the main content of the white paper and elaborated on China’s concepts, initiatives, and practical actions regarding global governance. Ambassador Fan emphasized that the Global Governance Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping has contributed Chinese wisdom and solutions to bridging global governance deficit and pointing the direction forward for humanity. It responds to the countries’ common need for improving global governance and has received welcome and supported from nearly 160 countries and international organizations.

China stands ready to work with Botswana to deliver on the Global Governance Initiative, enable the Global South to play its pivotal role, and and strive to foster a more just and equitable global governance system.

Ambassador Fan also exchanged views on the Global Civilization Initiative and the “International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations.”
