On 2nd November 2018, Chinese Ambassador Dr. Zhao Yanbo and his wife Mme. Mao Xuehong attended the celebration of the 40th anniversary of Solomon Dihutso Primary School. Ambassador Zhao was joined by Ms. Mmabasadi Ratshipo, head of the school, along with government officials, kgosis, teachers, students and parents.

Ambassador Zhao said that both China and Botswana place great emphasis on education of our children. He was glad to donate new books, clothes, hats and schoolbags on the occasion of the school’s 40th anniversary on behalf of the Chinese Embassy. He encouraged all the students to treasure their time in school and concentrate on study so that they can learn the knowledge and skills needed to build a better tomorrow for Botswana and China-Botswana friendship.

Ms. Mmabasadi Ratshipo expressed the appreciation for the invaluable support that Chinese Embassy has consistently rendered to Solomon Dihutso Primary School. She urged all the students to study hard and make contributions to the traditional friendship between Botswana and China in the future.
